**+ frequently asked questions  **

How big is the Futaleufu, really?

There are sections for everyone, from class III to class V. Whether you’re a beginner just trying to get better paddling big water, reading witewater, or if you’re looking forward to push yourself on big powerful rapids the Futa will feel like home to you. It is the perfect playground to get better at kayaking with a safe approach.

What food can you expect?

We go out of our way to make sure that all ingredients on the table are produced locally. You can expect a wide variety of local and international dishes that our cook Alicia will prepare with lots of love. We also have options for gluten free, vegetarians and vegans. Our goal is to keep you very well fed, with healthy and tasty meals throughout the entire program.

How good of a kayaker do I need to be?

We always do our best to adapt to the group abilities, but to truly enjoy the Futa you should have a solid roll and be comfortable with some big water action. Class III to IV is ideal.

**What subjects are covered during lessons? **

Reading whitewater, paddle stroke, fear management, safety and rescue, boof and roll technique are some of them.

What is the maximum group size?

We only offer 6 spots per tour. We use personalized learning strategies and make sure participants can improve their skills in a secure environment.

How to get there?

We’ll pick you up at Chaiten’s airport and drive towards Futaleufu (1.5 hr).

Departure flights from Chaitén - Puerto Montt depart 10:30 AM.

*We acquire the flights to Chaiten and back for you, all you need to do is get to Paloma aerodrome in Puerto Montt 40 mins. before the flight departure on the given day.
